Big Y Community Building:

The Big Y Community Building is near complete.  With some minor construction to the building it will be complete and almost ready to inhabit by the sub-division of Wolftown.  The facility will house a new gymnasium and community meeting facilities along with kitchen area.  Morton building is building the steel metal structure for the community. Tribal Construction is connecting water and sewer to the building.  With some difficulty due to terrain and property right of way issues, the water and sewer is making its way to the building so that it may open and be occupied.  We are expecting the building to open during the Summer of 2009.  Tribal Planning is managing the financial resources for this project.  Tribal Building Construction is inspecting work taking place on the project.  Funding has been received by from the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.
