Dora Reed Center Renovations:

Since our last update, we have completed the kitchen and it is now functional for the center.  We have had to have some temporary closures in the building to disconnect and reconnect utilities.  We have also had to move kitchen equipment and establish the new kitchen headquarters.  The overall project has been very smooth.  The second phase of the project has started with the entranceway beginning.  After a slow start due to some required archaeological survey work, the entrance is now beginning.  Cooper Construction of Hendersonville is the general contractor.  Padgett and Freeman of Asheville is the architect.  This project is expected to be complete in October 2009.
